Wynton Marsalis Quartet – “Caravan”
A short explanation of jazz dialogue intros Miles Davis’s “Caravan.” This is young and raw Wynton Marsalis. It is probably around the time that he was most influential inside and out of jazz. He made a couple false historical references in interviews and got buried for it. Nevertheless, this cat can play. I got a chance to meet him and his father (Ellis) when I studied music in college. His father is wonderfully talented and equally nice. Several months after meeting Ellis, I went to see a concert of his at ”Snug Harbor” (a awesome jazz venue in New Orleans). He remembered me and the time we met and was truly gracious towards me during our short time together. Enjoy “Caravan” – Wynton Marsalis Quartet.
